The Support Programme for the Preservation of Biodiversity and Fragile Ecosystems in Central Africa (ECOFAC 6), Republic of Cameroon’s component.

Second session of the National Monitoring Committee of Cameroon’s component of the Support Programme for the Preservation of Biodiversity and Fragile Ecosystems in Central Africa (ECOFAC 6).

The governance requirements associated with the implementation of the said programme provide for the holding of the National Monitoring Committee in preparation for the regional Steering Committee. This explains why CAON participated in the deliberations of the second edition of the National Monitoring Committee of the ECOFAC 6 Programme, on the 4th and 5th of March 2021 in Yaoundé.

The ECOFAC 6 regional programme that covers seven recipient countries (Cameroon, Congo, CAR, DRC, Chad and Sao Tome and Principe), is part of the Regional Indicative Programme (RIP) of the 11th European Development Fund. The Contracting Authority of the Programme is the ECCAS Commission while the Member States act as the Contracting Authorities through the National Authorising Officers (NAO).
