Signing ceremony of the financing agreement of the third Technical Cooperation Facility

A new Technical Cooperation Facility to optimise the quality of the partnership between Cameroon and the European Union

“The third Facility of the 11th EDF will undoubtedly contribute towards improving the living conditions of Cameroonians through the inclusive economic development of the country, poverty alleviation and strengthening of good governance.”

This statement was made by Mr. Alamine Ousmane Mey, Minister of Economy, Planning and Regional Development and EDF National Authorising Officer, during the signing ceremony of the Financing Agreement for the third Technical Cooperation Facility of the 11th EDF, on 1st December 2020 at MINEPAT.

The TCF III is jointly financed to the tune of CFA 2,951,806,500 francs by 

  • the State of Cameroon at the rate of CFA 984,000,000 francs, on the one hand, and
  • the European Union at the rate of CFA 1,967,000,000 francs on the other.

 

The aim of the project is to strengthen the capacities of the National Authorising Officer, technical ministries, the private sector and other Cameroonian actors in the identification, design, implementation, monitoring and coordination of interventions to be financed under the partnership.
